The Leisure team are responsible for the operation of our recently opened thermal suite, modern gym, spin studio, all weather tennis court, ten pin bowling alley and Spa lounge offering brunch, lunch, smoothies and snacks.
Leisure Assistant Full Time:
We are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and energetic people to join our Leisure Team on a casual basis. This is ideal for someone looking for flexible hours and working patterns, maybe as a second job or at weekends or outside of college hours.
It is an exciting time to join our team as you will be involved in promoting and operating our new spa alongside numerous leisure facilities, in a market that is vibrant and exciting. This role would suit someone with an interest in health and wellbeing and for the right candidate, there are rewards and a career progression path with a company that is dynamic and forward thinking.
Reporting to the Wellness Centre Manager and working closely with the Spa salon team, it is important that this person brings a professional work ethic, a 'can-do' attitude, enthusiasm, motivation and reliability.
Full training on all systems, health & safety and operating procedures will be provided, and although previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial, it is not essential.

Summary:

Key Responsibilities
* Completing all facility and equipment checks, record data and take required actions, if necessary, as per company procedures
* Ensure all faults / defects / breakdowns are recorded and reported
* Complete pool water tests and air / water temperature checks
* Monitor and keeping clean all areas across the department including the thermal suite, changing rooms, gym, reception and Spa lounge.
Duties
* Respond to guest enquiries
* Take new and manage existing guest bookings
* Manage club membership
* Serving customers
* Complete all daily and weekly duties within the Spa and Fitness Suite
* Monitor all areas of the facility where and when necessary, report any defects
* Keeping all areas clean, safe and tidy
* Make sure all services are keep supplied and in working order
* Assist in the organising and promotion of all social events
* Follow lost property procedures daily
* Ensure opening and closing procedures are strictly followed
* Any other duties deemed necessary by Management
Customer Care
* Maintain excellent customer relations by providing efficient and friendly service at all times
* To carry out any other reasonable request made by management and hotel guests to the best of your ability.
* Seek feedback from guests to ensure their requirements are met, and, in the case of any dissatisfaction, bring this to the attention of your Manager.
* Liaise with other departments to make sure guest requirements are known and met.
* Use feedback from guests to suggest to your Manager ways in which the service and standards could be improved in the future
Security
* Ensure the security of the facility, company property, your work area and company premises by adhering strictly to all company and hotel checking and control procedures.
* Bring to the immediate attention of your Manager, any potential areas of insecurity, or loopholes, of which you have become aware of.
* Be vigilant and report any thefts, suspicious incidents or behaviour, breakages or damage to property or equipment, to your team supervisor, and take any appropriate action immediately
Health & Safety
* Understand and comply with the company's policy on health and safety:
* Carry out duties in a safe manner having regard for the health, safety and welfare of yourself, other team members, guests, members and other persons on the hotel premises.
* Comply with the hotel's fire evacuation procedure, and understand your responsibilities within it
* Comply with COSHH regulations when handling chemicals
* Ensure all Health & Safety guidelines are followed in relation to sterilisation and storage of department equipment.
* Adhere to all Health & Safety guidelines set out in the surrounding areas of the Spa.
* To maintain the highest level of personal and work cleanliness and hygiene.
