Job Summary Instructional position delivering instruction as part of the Foundation Degree level course, (BTEC Higher national equivalent) to military air engineering students in Avionic System Principles. This position is advertised at 37 hours per week. The Royal Naval Air Engineering and Survival School (RNAESS) is seeking a Specialist Instructor Officer to deliver high-quality training in avionics principles and systems. You’ll play a vital role in shaping the future of military aviation engineering. What You’ll Do Deliver practical and theoretical lessons to classes of up to 16 adult learners. Prepare engaging teaching materials and maintain course documentation. Invigilate and mark assessments, propose updates, and set new exam questions. Mentor and support new team members as you gain experience. Person specification Essential Qualifications Recognised aeronautical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent training, plus Level 4 ONC/OND and 5 years recent trade experience, OR UK Armed Forces Aircraft Engineering training, attained Senior Non-Commissioned Officer level, with a proven technical track record. Qualifications Applicants should hold a Level 5 qualification in a related subject and have 3 years’ experience in either teaching or engineering; or; Candidates who have completed a UK Armed Forces Engineering training and have attained Senior Non-Commissioned Officer level and have a proven track record of technical experience (preferably aircraft) will be deemed as meeting the necessary requirements.
