Position: Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) – Contract: Permanent Location: Plough Lane Hours: 37 per week Salary: £40,777 – £45,091 per annum Closing date: Wednesday 20th May 2026
The Role
The AMHP team is small, friendly, and highly supportive, focused on safeguarding vulnerable people in the community. The role includes working within a collaborative culture, taking part in team meetings and protected supervision, and has the opportunity to work from home on days that involve triaging referrals. The position is a standard 9–5 post with no mandatory out‑of‑hours work, although those who wish to join the paid out‑of‑hours rota are welcome.
About You
* Qualified AMHP with at least one year of practice and experience assessing a range of client groups.
* Strong commitment to protecting the human rights of those we work with and solid knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, Care Act and Safeguarding.
