We are seeking to appoint two Locum Consultant Neuroradiologists at Nottingham University Hospitals. This post is to support the increasing local and regional demand for Neuroimaging.
The successful applicants will share responsibility with 14 Diagnostic Neuroradiologists and 4 Interventional Radiologists for all aspects of Neuroimaging at our Trust, with potential future expansion within the regional network.
This role will support the expanding NUH Neuroradiology and Head and Neck radiology services, including providing a specialist neuroradiology on-call service at NUH with weekend working. The post holder will also contribute to activities at surrounding district general hospitals.
The post involves working as part of the Neuroradiology team at NUH, participating in all aspects of Neuroimaging services, including multidisciplinary team meetings. The team operates flexibly to cover all parts of the service. There are plans to open a new Community Diagnostic Centre in Nottingham city centre in 2025, which may require rotation to this location.
The successful candidate will contribute to diagnostic services at Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham Treatment Centre, and peripheral hospitals, with reporting sessions for MRI, CT, US, and plain films, based on skills and department needs. Participation in multidisciplinary meetings is required.

The post is primarily based at QMC but may involve travel to peripheral hospitals. Candidates must hold the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists or equivalent and be on the Specialist Register or have a CCT at the time of appointment. Those within 6 months of CCT or with prospects of obtaining CESR within a year are encouraged to apply.
The position involves participation in a Neuroradiology on-call rota, with a frequency of 1:8.
