We are seeking a resilient and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs and associated behavioural challenges. This is a demanding but rewarding role within a specialist setting where consistency, patience and strong relationship-building are essential.
The successful candidate will be confident working with pupils who may present with dysregulated behaviour, trauma-related responses, and barriers to mainstream education.
Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs

Support pupils to regulate emotions and re-engage with learning
*
Implement behaviour support plans consistently and calmly
*
Work closely with teachers and pastoral teams to maintain structure and routine
*
De-escalate challenging situations using agreed strategies
*
Support academic progress across core and vocational subjects
*
Promote positive relationships and model appropriate behaviour
