With aggressive expansion underway, this iconic global Facilities Management firm is investing in best-practice procurement. As they manage an untapped FM category, they are looking to hire a highly qualified FM Procurement Specialist to join their team.
As FM Senior Category Manager (VP), you will be regarded as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for various multi-million-pound procurement sub-categories including, but not limited to, Catering, Cleaning, Waste Services (Soft FM), Engineering & Building Services, Fit-Out & Construction (Hard FM).
Procurement role summary:
1. Implement sourcing strategies for FM Services to support operational needs, meet business objectives, and achieve financial targets.
2. Ensure the Regional Buying team employs the Regional Procurement strategy across the UK & Ireland.
3. Gain visibility of FM capex project pipelines to enable procurement activities for projects.
4. Manage a team of procurement professionals, ensuring relevant succession planning through development.
5. Deliver annual savings objectives to meet regional targets.
In order to be successful you must have:
1. Experience leading teams in buying/category management (5-7+ years).
2. Experience in FM sub-categories such as Lifts, Fire and Security, Water Treatment, Electrical Wholesale.
3. Experience managing sub-contractors across Hard and Soft FM services.
4. Experience working in a multi-cultural and matrix environment.
5. Experience developing and implementing national procurement and category strategies.
6. Proven success in complex contract negotiations.
