About the role
We’re looking for someone to work within our Operations Payments Process Team to support the next 12 months of customer payment systems modernisation.
We are on a journey to develop the payment systems and platforms used by customers and customer facing teams at Capital One.
We need someone who is passionate about technology and process excellence to effectively improve our customer experience.
What you’ll do
1. Represent the customer and the customer facing teams as new systems are developed, identifying opportunities to drive efficiencies to create better experiences
2. Identify and prevent risks from materialising, capitalising on the benefits that new tools can bring to the operation and ensuring a smooth roll out
3. Work with key suppliers, Product, Tech and Operations to ensure the right processes are set up, controls are built into the solution and monitoring is put in place
4. Document the process changes, controls and key decisions
5. Monitor and embed changes, managing issues through to remediation and permanent containment
6. Use a variety of techniques and tools to define, manage and improve processes, like Visual Management, Business Process Management, Lean, and Six Sigma
What we're looking for
7. Someone able to pick information up quickly and interpret it
8. Build relationships quickly, communicate clearly and manage stakeholders effectively
9. Great attention to detail to understand systems and technology, as well as operational processes
10. Experience with Risk Management
11. Ability to work cross-functionally with lots of stakeholders to input into key decisions and deliver tangible business results
12. A drive for continued learning through training opportunities and knowledge sharing to develop innovative solutions
13. A good decision maker, able to bring a healthy, balanced approach to business with a strong customer focus
14. Ability to cope with issues and process breakdowns outside of your control and work with key stakeholders to remediate these
Where and how you'll work
This is a fixed term position based in our Nottingham offices.
We have a hybrid working model which gives you flexibility to work from our offices and from home.
We’re big on collaboration and connection, so you’ll be based in our Nottingham office 3 days a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
