Team NNUH is looking for Healthcare Support Workers - Clinical Care (HCSW-CC) to join our Temporary Workforce Team and help provide excellent care to our patients through the Nurse Bank.
As a Bank HCSW, your day-to-day work could take you to a variety of clinical areas, such as adult inpatient wards or outpatient clinics. You will support patients of all ages with a range of medical conditions and individual care needs.

All new Bank HCSWs receive a two week induction with supernumerary time and once in post, you would be expected to work 1-2 shifts per month or more.
Main duties of the job
Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, work with all members of the multidisciplinary team, to contribute to the provision of the highest standards of patient care delivered with dignity, respect and compassion. Steps to becoming a bank HCSW

* Preselection & Interview If you are shortlisted from your application, you will be asked to attend a Preselection & Interview Day. This includes basic Literacy and Numeracy tests and a short interview.
* Recruitment If you are successful at preselection and interview its now time to complete your recruitment checks. This includes an ID, DBS, Occupational Health, and employment/education references check.
* Training Once you have completed your recruitment checks we will provide two-week training course to deliver the skills you will need to work in a busy hospital and will support you to undertake the nationally recognised Care Certificate Training Programme over the next 3 months as you work for us.
* After successfully completing your training course you are now a bank HCSW and can initially work in all general areas of the hospital. Once you gain some experience within the general areas of the hospital you may have the opportunity to work within more specialised areas of the hospital (Paediatrics, A&E, maternity etc.).

Experience
* Some previous experience in a Nursing/Care Assistant role which can be demonstrated against the requirements of the role.
Qualifications/training and professional development
* City and Guilds NVQ Level 3/ T levels/ A levels in Care/Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification or significant equivalent experience
* Effective role model, demonstrating NNUH's PRIDE values of People focussed, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence
* Demonstrates understanding and commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
* Able to work well in a team
* Caring and compassionate with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
