New Directions Education are currently recruiting for a pool of dedicated and compassionate SEND Teachers to support a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) specialist provisions across Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity to work within inclusive, nurturing environments that cater to learners with complex learning needs.
We want to hear from:
1. QTS or equivalent
2. Experience working with children and young people with SEND in a mainstream or specialist setting
3. Strong understanding of SEN strategies, inclusive teaching practices, and behaviour management
4. Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting vulnerable learners
5. Creative
You will be working with learners across all phases, providing tailored support both in and out of the classroom. The role involves:
6. Deliver high-quality, individualised teaching to learners
7. Develop and adapt resources to support a diverse range of learning styles and abilities
8. Work collaboratively with SENCOs, support staff, therapists, and families
9. Implement EHCP targets and track/monitor pupil progress
10. Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
