At The Manchester College, you will be supported by our Teaching Academy to work towards qualified teacher status for post 16 compulsory education, through a Cert Ed/PGCE.
This includes 3-4 hours delivery per week and engagement with a mentor to support your progress in the profession while you work. The starting salary for an unqualified teacher is between £28,300.00 - £30,307.50*. It's a great way to kick-start a rewarding career with full training and support.
Once you've successfully qualified and demonstrated your teaching competence, you'll progress to the qualified teacher salary banding.\n\n*Consideration will be given to relevant industry experience and skills with the flexibility to offer increased starting salaries in some circumstances*.\n\nLevelling Up Payment \n\nCheck to see if you are eligible to receive a Government Levelling up payment once you have made your application.\n\nRole Responsibilities\n\nPlease see the attached role profile for an overview of general role responsibilities.\n\nSkills, Qualifications and Experience\n\nTo be successful in this role, you will need to:\n\nCurrent and valid industry specialism.\nCertificate of education or PGCE.\nMinimum Level 3 occupational qualification.\nEnglish and maths minimum level 2 Grace C or grade 4 and above.\nSignificant Experience of delivering outstanding teaching and learning.\nProven track record of high-quality teaching in delivering subject specialism or current valid industry specialism.\nWorking as a team.\nVerbal and written communication skills.\nMeet delivery targets and plans.\nAccurate and timely reports and records.\nPositive contribution to planning processes.\nProven track record of positive student satisfactionSafeguarding\n\nThe LTE Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
