Job Description
As the Registered Care Manager, you will be accountable for the day-to-day management of Home Instead operations, ensuring full compliance with governing body requirements and legislation relevant to the service.
1. Work closely with the Franchise Owner to develop a high-quality private domiciliary care service in the local area
2. Act as the Registered Manager for the regulated activity
3. Oversee compliance with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW), relevant legislation, and Home Instead's Franchise Standards
4. Promote the highest standards of care with a strong focus on person-centred service delivery
5. Manage the client acquisition process from initial contact to conversion
6. Conduct care planning and risk assessments in line with legal and regulatory requirements
7. Operate quality control systems and perform assurance visits
8. Review and improve service delivery processes
9. Manage complaints and incidents, lead investigations, and implement improvements
10. Submit relevant reports to regulatory bodies and safeguarding authorities
11. Champion Home Instead's ethos and values within the team and community
12. Network locally to raise awareness of our services
13. Provide inspired leadership and ensure safe staffing levels
14. Support and development of Care Professionals and office staff
15. Participate in disciplinary procedures and HR processes
16. Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures
17. Assist with budget management
18. Maintain accurate data across all platforms
19. Stay current with legislation and regulatory changes
20. Identify personal development needs and take proactive steps
21. Carry out any other duties necessary for the success of the business

Essential Criteria
We’re looking for someone who brings:
28. Experience leading, training, and managing a domiciliary care team
29. Strong knowledge of care regulations and compliance
30. Skilled in care assessments and planning
31. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
32. Ability to inspire and build strong working relationships
33. Organised, motivated, and commercially aware
34. Proven success in achieving business growth targets
35. Calm and responsive under pressure
36. Flexibility to meet business demands, including on-call duties
37. Proficiency in IT systems
38. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Qualifications
39. Level 4 Diploma for Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
