As such, we provide authoritative, independent, and evidence-based reports, briefings, opinions and events.
Summary of position
The post-holder will be responsible for the delivery of the Royal Aeronautical Society’s programme of events through planning, organisation, promotion, and delivery of a portfolio of Events that will maintain the Society’s leading position within the aerospace community, delivering value to our membership and industry and to generate income.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Event management, delivery & administration
* Manage event enquiries and bookings, including speakers and other complimentary places at RAeS events
* Prepare and manage delegate communications and event joining instructions
* Create and review speaker forms and event presentation materials such as programmes, permission forms, QR codes, holding slides, collation of slide decks and ensuring all videos and animations are functioning correctly
* Edit recordings from Conferences and Lectures and managing distribution to attendees and/or wider community
* Create and analyse event feedback forms
* Ensure risk assessments are completed and well managed for each event
* Work with partners and suppliers to book relevant services for No.4 Hamilton Place client events and manage arrangements and communications
* When directed, act as the primary point of contact clients and project manage a portfolio of events
Marketing
* Create marketing and promotional materials in collaboration with the Comms team.
* Create email campaigns (via Dotdigital) and social media campaigns
* Research and identify appropriate supporters to promote and communicate events to external networks
* Lead and oversee the delivery of sponsorship packages liaising with the Society Sponsorship Sales Agency
* Research and identify delegate leads to nurture and secure participation in events
General duties
* Maintain high standard of personal presentation and represent the Society in a professional manner at all times
* To provide general support for the Events team as required
* Liaise with other members of the Society to actively promote opportunities, exchange information and increase professionalism
* Undertake all responsibilities with reference to Society procedures
* Undertake any reasonable duties as requested by Line Manager and Senior Leadership Team

The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be working in an events focused role and have experience in event operations including planning & delivery, marketing and with good commercial acumen to achieve event objectives. We are looking for proactive, ambitious and forward-thinking individuals who are keen to succeed in a busy and exciting role.
Qualifications
* Event planning and coordination skills, including managing logistics, timelines, and budgets
* Client relationship management abilities with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure seamless event execution
* Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities for handling challenges during events
* Proficiency in event management software or related technology is a plus
* Experience in aerospace events is advantageous
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings as required
