Salary: £65,000 - 105,000 per year Requirements: We are looking for a proven Solution Architect, Principal Engineer, or senior Project Engineer with strong High-Level Design and Low-Level Design experience. We strongly prefer experience in an MSP environment and understanding of project-led delivery across multiple clients. We need deep expertise across the Microsoft stack, including M365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Exchange. We require strong experience in virtualisation technologies such as Hyper-V and VMware. We are looking for solid networking knowledge, including VLANs, firewalls, and wireless. We need a strong grounding in cyber security, backup, and business continuity and disaster recovery design. We value excellent technical writing skills, as documentation is a key deliverable in this role. We consider education-sector experience a strong advantage. We will also consider strong MSP architects from complex multi-site SME environments. Responsibilities: We own the technical design of complex infrastructure, cloud, network, and security projects. We produce High-Level Designs and Low-Level Designs that engineering teams can implement with confidence. We partner with Account Managers and Project Managers on scoping, proposals, and statements of work. We act as the technical authority in client meetings and build trust with IT Directors, Bursars, and Heads. We provide design governance and mentor Project Engineers as they develop. We build reusable reference architectures and education-sector design standards.
