We have an exciting new opportunity at our family owned pharmacy in Harrogate and are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pharmacy Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our pharmacists in dispensing and checking medication, administering high quality patient care and excellent pharmaceutical services. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, a commitment to patient safety and have a passion for delivering community pharmacy services to our loyal patients, care homes and customers.
Duties
As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately.
* Interact with patients to process prescriptions and provide information
* Providing exceptional patient care by answering queries and offering medication information under the guidance of the pharmacist.
* Administering medications as directed, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
* Maintaining accurate records of prescriptions and patient information to ensure confidentiality and compliance with legal standards.
* To have a strong focus on patient care and safety
* Keeping the pharmacy environment clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
* Previous experience as an Accuracy Pharmacy Technician (ACT) within a community pharmacy setting
* Must be registered with the GPhC
* A solid understanding of medication administration processes and patient care practices in pharmacy
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
