Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Student Education team for the role of Practice Education Facilitator (PEF). The PEF at EPUT is responsible for supporting, coordinating, and assuring high‑quality practice learning experiences for students undertaking clinical placements across all care units. This role plays a key part in developing the future workforce by ensuring students are well supported, safe, and able to meet their learning outcomes in practice. PEFs work closely with clinical teams, practice assessors/supervisors, universities, and workforce/education leads to promote excellent learning environments across inpatient, community, and specialist services. The position is a 6‑month secondment.
Responsibilities
* Provide strong, skilled, professional leadership and guidance in the support of practice education and development for all registered and unregistered care staff, students and apprentices.
* Lead and influence the quality of the clinical learning environment by supporting managers, professional leads, practice‑based assessors and supervisors; continuously improve the practice learning experience by creating additional opportunities for skills development.
* Support the lead practice education facilitator with the implementation and embedding of the Safe Learning Environment Charter (SLEC) within the clinical setting.
* Work with students and apprentices across all disciplines on all clinical (excluding medical) courses offered within the Trust.
* Act as a role model, demonstrating all the values espoused within the Trust’s behavioural framework and the NHS Constitution. When in clinical practice settings (0.6 WTE) the post holder will model correct clinical uniform policy.
