Harrowby Estates is a traditional rural estate with a modern approach to land and property management across Sandon and Norton Estates. We pride ourselves on professionalism, heritage, and high standards of service across residential, agricultural, and commercial operations.
We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and personable Office Administrator / Receptionist to support the day-to-day running of the Estate Office and administrative tasks for the events side of the business, Sandon Hall. This varied and hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment and takes pride in attention to detail and supporting a team.
Key Responsibilities:
· Post & Communication
· Reception & Front of House
· Office Organisation & Monitor and respond to client/tenant emails and calls, ensuring a timely follow-up and exceptional customer service
· Estate Support, Licences & Agreements & Record Management
· General Administrative Duties & Provide Administrative Support to the Events Team,
ensuring smooth delivery of weddings, corporate events and private functions
· Manage event enquiries, liaising promptly and professionally with prospective and confirmed clients
· Maintain and update the booking systems, event schedule and client records accurately
· Prepare event documentation, including contracts, invoices and function sheets,
assist with supplier coordination, ensuring accurate communication of requirements and timelines
· Support the preparation of event spaces including signage, guest materials and operational checklists
· Administer bookings and guest communications for Sandon Hall's holiday let properties, ensuring a seamless guest experience
· Compile post event feedback
· Work collaboratively with the wider Sandon Hall Team to uphold brand standards and deliver a high-quality customer experience
About You
We are looking for someone with:
· Excellent organisational and administrative skills
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Good written and verbal communication
· A professional and friendly manner
· Competence in Google & Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
· A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to prioritise tasks
Experience in a similar role or within a rural estate environment is desirable but not essential.
