We are currently seeking to recruit a Senior Naval Architect with suitable experience, certification, and qualifications to work on a range of scopes across the contracts IMRANDD are executing.
Key Accountabilities
Summary
* Working knowledge of codes, standards and regulations applicable to integrity management, design and operation of floating oil and gas production and storage facilities.
* Appreciation of the relevance of structural & stability calculations, hydrodynamic / sea-keeping and mooring analysis, to the operation of floating systems.
* Experience of the on-station integrity management of fixed and floating offshore structures, this may also include experience in the design, transportation and installation of these structures.
* Conduct and approve risk assessments, life assessments, associated engineering calculations for hull structure and mooring systems.
* Appreciate the concepts of RBA/RBI/RCM, and their application in delivering cost effective asset management.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver best-in-class integrity service based on concepts of RBA/RBI/RCM.
* Development and maintenance of integrity management strategy documentation.
* Develop inspection and repair workbooks & specifications for vessel structures and marine piping systems.
* Technical review of inspection data, and vessel analyses. This may include a variety of inspection techniques, in addition to stability, mooring, and motions analyses.
* Deliver best-in-class integrity service based on concepts of RBA/RBI/RCM.
* Development and maintenance of integrity management strategy documentation.
* Write accurate and concise reports which review, analyse, and trend integrity management and inspection data and provide informed recommendations for repair strategies.
* Liaise with clients to ensure project completion and customer satisfaction.
* Provide relevant technical information and assist in the preparation of proposals for bids and tenders.
* Develop strong relationships internally with the integrity management team and externally with Clients to ensure excellence in delivery.
Essential Skills, Qualifications & Technical Competencies
* Minimum 4 years’ experience in Naval Architecture or similar Marine Engineering role with the O&G Industry.
* B.Eng. in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or similar discipline.
* A solid understanding of core engineering principles and analysis techniques.
* Detailed Knowledge of hull structure, mooring systems, topsides structures and associated systems.
* Experience with the application and maintenance of risk-based management strategies to marine systems.
* Demonstrated understanding of floating systems and hull integrity methods.
* Current BOSIET, MIST, OGUK Medical Certificate (preferred).
* Understanding of corrosion, fatigue, and other integrity threats to hull and moorings.
* Detailed understanding of the application of Classification Society Rules for structures and mooring systems.
* Understanding of inspection and NDE methods, and experience of Classification Society surveys.
* Experience with dealing with regulatory and classification bodies.
