What You’ll Receive
* Competitive pay: £13.75/hour weekdays | £14.75/hour weekends

* Morning shifts from 7am and evening shifts until 10pm

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Care Assistant, you’ll provide one‑to‑one support to older people in their own homes, helping them stay independent, comfortable, and connected to the community.
No two days are ever the same.
You could be:
* Supporting clients to enjoy outings such as afternoon tea, shopping trips, or fish and chips in Whitby
* Helping with personal care and daily routines
* Providing medication support
* Assisting with mobility, transfers, and safe movement
* Supporting clients to attend appointments and community activities
* Helping with shopping, meal preparation, cooking, and light household tasks
* Promoting independence, dignity, comfort, and companionship in every visit
This role can involve:
* Carrying shopping or household items
* Kneeling or working in low positions when supporting clients
* Assisting with mobility and manual handling
Where You’ll Work
You’ll support clients across York and surrounding villages, including:
Acomb, Bishopthorpe, Clifton, Copmanthorpe, Dringhouses, Fulford, Haxby, Huntington, Poppleton, Stamford Bridge, Wheldrake, Easingwold, Green Hammerton and nearby areas.

You’ll also need:
* A full UK driving licence
* Access to your own car
* The right to work in the UK
No Experience? We’ll Train You.
Many of our best Care Assistants joined us with no previous care experience.
