Location: Care homes based in Herts, Bucks, London, Essex, with travel as and where required

Hours: Monday to Sunday between 9am - 5pm

As a Minibus Driver at Westgate Healthcare, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our elderly residents by providing safe, and reliable transport. Whether it's for social outings, or day-to-day activities, we are looking for someone who will ensure each journey is comfortable, dignified, and enjoyable.
The successful applicant must be able to travel to and from Borehamwood, as the minibus will be based at Meadowhill Care Home, Castleford Close, Borehamwood, Herts, WD6 4AL.

About the Role:
10. Safely operate the minibus, always prioritising passenger safety
11. Ensuring the vehicle is kept clean, well-maintained
12. Conducting pre-use safety checks (breaks, lights, tyres, seatbelts, accessibility equipment) to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy
13. Planning and driving the most practical, safe, and cost-effective routes, liaising with Home Manager for pick-up and drop-off times
14. Assisting residents with boarding and exiting the vehicle, including the use of ramps, lifts and wheelchair restraints
15. Following all risk assessments and health & safety policies, including manual handling and emergency protocols
16. Representing Westgate Healthcare with professionalism and compassion on every journey
About you:
17. Full, clean UK driving licence (minimum of 2 years’ experience driving in the UK)
18. The right to live and work in the UK
19. Ability to maintain confidentiality
20. An understanding of Health and Safety
21. An understanding of emotional, social, physical, psychological and intellectual needs of vulnerable people
22. Previous experience in a similar position is desirable but not essential
