Salary: £150–£230 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Teacher to support pupils with a range of additional needs for welcoming and nurturing schools in Derby (DE6). This SEND Teacher role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and making a genuine difference in learners’ lives.
The Opportunity
As a SEND Teacher, you will play a key role in creating a safe, structured, and encouraging learning environment. You’ll adapt teaching approaches to meet individual needs, build strong relationships with pupils, and help them achieve both academically and emotionally.
Your Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with additional needs
* Support students with EHCPs, working closely with support staff and SENCOs
* Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
* Track progress and celebrate small but meaningful achievements
* Foster a calm, inclusive, and supportive classroom culture
✅ What We’re Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent
* Experience working with SEND pupils (school or specialist setting preferred)
* A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
* Strong classroom management and communication skills
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
