Product Owner – Green Flag

DLG is evolving. Across every facet of our business, our teams are embracing new opportunities and putting customers at the heart of everything they do. By joining them, you’ll have the opportunity to not just be recognised for your skills but encouraged to build upon them and empowered to do your absolute best.

What you'll be Doing

The Product Owner plays a key role in shaping and delivering digital and process solutions that enable Green Flag to operate effectively and efficiently. Working closely with Commercial Leads, development teams, and operational stakeholders, the Product Owner is responsible for defining and driving the product vision and strategy within the CRANS area.

This includes managing the end-to-end product lifecycle — from vision, roadmap, and implementation, through to continuous improvement — ensuring that operational tools, systems, and processes support business objectives and deliver value to customers. The role owns the day-to-day execution and optimisation of product activities within Operations, aligning delivery with commercial direction while championing operational excellence, enabling seamless service delivery, and supporting the business in meeting its performance goals.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Understand customers and users, their behaviours, and their needs to shape products that deliver value to both the customer and the business.
2. Analyse product performance from multiple perspectives (customer, commercial, market, strategic, competition) to inform decisions.
3. Define, maintain, and communicate a clear short, medium, and long-term product roadmap.
4. Work with stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities, prioritise improvements, and align delivery with strategic objectives.
5. Communicate product performance, including insights into customer interactions and behaviours, to stakeholders.
6. Own and deliver on all product performance objectives, ensuring continuous improvement.
7. Manage and optimise the digital customer experience across web, mobile, and apps.
8. Collaborate with teams to drive improvements in key performance indicators, using the team’s full capabilities.
9. Support the creation of business cases where needed to justify investment or improvement.
10. Scope requirements in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment.
11. Manage and prioritise the product backlog in line with commercial KPIs and business needs.
12. Organise and document requirements using agile frameworks such as User Story Mapping, Epics, Features, User Stories, Prototyping, and Iteration.
13. Define, manage, and prioritise release and go-live dates for assigned products.
14. Promote digital-first ways of working, encouraging experimentation, iteration, and learning from outcomes.
15. Contribute to and adhere to the organisation’s Product Management Framework.
16. Ensure the realisation of business value from product initiatives.
17. Identify and share insights on emerging digital technologies, market shifts, and customer trends.
18. Attend relevant planning sessions to capture requirements challenging when necessary.

Our hybrid model offers a 'best of both worlds' approach. When you'll be in the office depends on your role and team, but colleagues spend at least 2 days a week in the office.
