Procurement people are currently working with a leading utilities business who are looking for an IT Procurement Manager. The role will support the end‑to‑end delivery of procurement activity across a range of goods and services specific to the IT Category. Working closely with the Category Manager, the IT Procurement Manager will help shape and implement category strategies, run compliant tendering processes and manage supplier negotiations to ensure value for money. This is a varied and collaborative role that will see the incumbent working closely with teams across the business to understand their needs, influence specifications and ensure strong commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a point of contact for procurement guidance and best practice
* Deliver compliant procurement activities, including sourcing, tendering, renewals and negotiations
* Support the development of category strategies across key spend areas
* Influence stakeholders across the business to deliver best‑value outcomes
* Help ensure that all procurement activity meets internal controls and legal requirements
Candidate Profile
* Experience in managing tenders and procurement activity in a regulated or complex organisation
* A strong grasp of procurement regulations and compliance
* Confidence in engaging and influencing internal stakeholders
* Ideally CIPS qualified or working towards it
* A full UK driving licence
The role can be based in one of multiple locations across the North West. It is hybrid, with 3 days a week on site.
Package: up to GBP 55,000 + Car Allowance + Generous Pension + 26 Days Holidays and Bank Holidays + Professional Development and Training Support.
