Job Description
Leighton Buzzard Companion Care is seeking an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team.
You will be joining a local, RCVS Practice Standards Accredited clinic where Roman, our Veterinary Partner, has clinical freedom, and you will also have the support and benefits of working for the Vet Group.
The team sees a wide variety of medical and surgical cases involving cats, dogs, rabbits, and guinea pigs, and offers 20-minute consults as standard. The practice is bright, spacious, air-conditioned, and purpose-built to industry standards with state-of-the-art equipment, including digital X-ray, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory facilities.
The team has diverse interests, from behavior and wellness to small furry care. Roman encourages CPD and supports study towards Certificate level.
You should feel confident with routine surgical and medical cases and enjoy building strong relationships with patients, clients, and team members.
We are flexible to consider both full-time and part-time applications. Your rota will include weekends on a 1 in 3 basis with time off during the week. There is occasional sole charge responsibility, but no OOH duties.
In return, we offer:
* A competitive salary of up to £65,000 per annum (DOE/FTE)
* Enhanced annual leave – 28 days including bank holidays, rising to 33 days with bank holidays
* Generous CPD allowance
* Contributory pension scheme
* Paid memberships (RCVS, VDS, BVA)
* Exclusive discounts and rewards, including 20% off at Pets at Home, The Groom Room, and the Vet Group, as well as discounts at high street retailers and restaurants
