We are seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Design Engineer to join an established and respected fire protection company. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a technical environment, enjoys working autonomously, and takes pride in delivering precise, compliant, and well-coordinated sprinkler system designs. As a Sprinkler Design Engineer, you will collaborate closely with the project team, ensure accurate and timely technical submissions, and provide support and mentorship to junior designers. You will play a key part in ensuring all sprinkler system designs meet current industry standards and project requirements. Key Responsibilities * Design a variety of automatic sprinkler systems, including fire pumps, tanks, wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems * Perform hydraulic calculations using Canute and manual methods * Coordinate sprinkler layouts with the building structure, MEP services, and project constraints * Attend onsite and online client-driven design coordination meetings * Conduct site surveys to ensure designs align with actual conditions and existing services * Prepare and submit 2D drawings for approval, construction, and as-built phases * Ensure all designs comply with company design standards and BIM requirements * Provide daily support and mentorship to Trainee Designers * Assist installation teams with design-related queries and challenges * Contribute to RFIs and help prepare relevant project documentation Qualifications & Requirements * Strong working knowledge of LPCB, NFPA, BSEN 9990, BSEN 9251, BSEN 12845 * Minimum 5 years’ experience in the fire suppression industry * LPCB Basic, Intermediate, or FHC certification (preferred) * High proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and hydraulic design software (Canute/FHC) * Confident and clear communicator, able to present technical information effectively * Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) * Ability to manage workload independently with minimal supervision * Full UK driving licence If you're a driven and detail-oriented Design Engineer with a passion for precision and fire safety engineering, we would love to hear from you.
