Warehouse Supervisor Annual Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 Location: Oakham Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our Clients vibrantmanufacturing facility. This role is crucial for achieving theirwarehousing, order fulfilment, and distribution objectives through effective leadership and management of the warehouse department and its staff.
Day-to-day responsibilities
* Manage staff by setting tasks, directing activities, prioritising workload, delivering training, coaching, mentoring, and managing performance.
* Oversee the efficient and safe handling of all warehouse operations including unloading, receipt, storage, stock-control, order picking, packing, and dispatch of goods.
* Ensure adherence to warehouse health and safety requirements and take responsibility for the security of the work area and stored goods.
* Plan the location and arrangement of goods within the warehouse and external storage areas.
* Meet productivity targets and maintain records of activity, team flexibility throughput, costs, and KPIs.
* Lead the implementation, training, and use of systems within the department.
* Promote a healthy and safe workplace by ensuring general safe working practices and adherence to the company’s health and safety policy.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Minimum of three years of hands-on warehouse management experience in an engineering manufacturing environment.
* Proven experience supervising staff in a warehousing environment.
* Proficiency in SAP/Warehouse Management Systems, inventory control, and cycle counting processes.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team.
* Competence in Microsoft Office applications - Outlook, Word, Excel.
* Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and establish effective working relationships.
* Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck training with a valid certificate.
