Job Description
Role: Administrative Assistant (Complaints, FOI and Investigation Team)
Location: GCHSCP, Commonwealth House, 32 Albion Street, Glasgow, G1 1LH
Contract Status: Temporary, up to 18 months
We are pleased to offer an opportunity to work for the largest local authority in Scotland, in partnership with the NHS, supporting the data rights of our service users, past and present.
The Complaints, Freedom of Information (FOI), and Investigations Team (CFIT) within the Business Development section of Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP) handles complaints administration, FOI responses, and duties under the Data Protection Act 2018, including providing guidance on Data Protection matters.
We seek a driven individual to support a new temporary specialist team within CFIT for up to 18 months. Applicants should have previous administration experience, good literacy and numeracy skills, strong communication and organizational skills, and a working knowledge of software packages like Microsoft Office. Full training will be provided on service-specific software and hardware.
Applicants must be able to plan, organize, and complete work within deadlines. They should work well as part of a team and be able to deputize for senior managers in task prioritization and work allocation. Flexibility to adapt to service needs is essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting complex data processing activities in line with statutory requirements, including locating, collating, and preparing sensitive documents.
* Ensuring confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
* Engaging in practical data processing to support services for vulnerable individuals.
