Job summary An exciting developmental role opportunity has arisen within the Audiology Department. The Audiology Associate Apprentice will work towards progression into the post of Associate Audiologist through successful completion of the Hearing Aid Dispenser Apprenticeship (Level 5) at De Montfort University. This programme usually takes 18 months to complete during which you will be participating in training, development and on-going review activities. At the end of the programme, the Audiology Associate apprentice will be equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes and behaviours relevant to employment as an Associate Audiologist, which is a clinical role enabling service delivery within the Audiology service. You must meet the minimum eligibility requirements to apply - Can be any age post full-time education (16) Cannot already be on an Apprenticeship or any Government funded training Cannot have a qualification at the same or higher level in the same vocational area. There needs to be significant new learning. Has been a UK resident for 3 or more years. The post holder will be part of the daily duties performed within the Audiology service including the maintenance of hearing aids for all patients attending the audiology department. The post holder will attend face to face and online classes for theory of audiology training and practical teaching will occur within the Audiology team as part of routine clinics.
