Welfare Officer role - Level 3 First aid qualification required

We’re on the lookout for a dedicated Welfare Officer to join a thriving secondary school in London (W7). This role is all about being that calm, reassuring presence when young people need it most. You’ll be the first point of contact for first aid, pupil wellbeing and safeguarding support, ensuring students feel safe, cared for and ready to learn.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Acting as the school’s first aid lead, responding to incidents across the site.
* Supporting students with day-to-day wellbeing, welfare and medical needs.
* Working closely with staff, parents and external agencies where required.
* Keeping accurate, confidential records in line with school safeguarding policies.
* Helping to promote a safe, inclusive and nurturing school environment.
What We’re Looking For
To be considered, you’ll need:
* An in-date Level 3 First Aid qualification (essential)
* Previous experience providing first aid within a school setting
* Strong communication skills, with a calm and approachable manner
* Excellent organisation and attention to detail
* A genuine passion for supporting the wellbeing of young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
