We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to oversee the commissioning process of our projects, ensuring that all systems and components are designed, installed, tested, and operational according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and construction, with a focus on system design and integration. This role requires excellent leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams to achieve project goals.
Manager – Commissioning (Offshore)
Location: Offshore – UAE / Middle East Region
Department: Commissioning / Offshore Projects
Reports to: Project Director / Commissioning Lead
Responsible for managing, planning, and executing commissioning activities for offshore oil & gas facilities with a focus on Well Head Towers (WHT), subsea cable installation, piping systems, and brownfield modifications. Ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of commissioning and handover to operations in compliance with ADNOC standards, international codes, and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead commissioning planning, execution, and handover activities for offshore projects (Well Head Tower, subsea cable, piping, brownfield works).
* Develop Commissioning Execution Plans, Method Statements, Procedures, and Checklists in alignment with project requirements.
* Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, HSE, and Operations teams to ensure readiness for commissioning.
* Supervise offshore commissioning teams and contractors, ensuring compliance with ADNOC and international standards.
* Oversee loop checks, system walkdowns, pre-commissioning, energization, and final commissioning activities.
* Ensure Mechanical Completion (MC), Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning, and Handover (RFSU) milestones are achieved on schedule.
* Manage interfaces between topsides, subsea, and pipeline systems during commissioning.
* Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and resolving commissioning issues offshore.
* Ensure proper implementation of PTW (Permit to Work), SIMOPS (Simultaneous Operations), and HSE standards during commissioning.
* Conduct regular progress reviews, prepare status reports, and present updates to project management and client (e.g., ADNOC/PMC).
* Lead the training, mentoring, and competency development of commissioning engineers and supervisors.
* Manage commissioning documentation, certification dossiers, and system handover records.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent).
* Minimum 20-25 years of experience in Offshore Oil & Gas projects, with at least 8–10 years in commissioning management.
* Proven experience in Well Head Tower commissioning, subsea cable installation, piping systems, and brownfield modifications.
* Strong exposure to PMC / EPC / ADNOC offshore projects.
* Sound knowledge of international codes, standards, and ADNOC specifications.
* Excellent leadership, planning, and communication skills.
* Proficient in commissioning software/tools, reporting, and certification systems.
* Offshore survival & HSE certifications (BOSIET, H2S, etc.) required.
