We are looking for a motivated and ambitious individual to join our Crisis Resolution Team. We provide urgent care and support to people in Worcestershire who are experiencing a mental health crisis. We are a dynamic and responsive team who strive to continuously develop and adapt to the needs of patients in Worcestershire, providing compassionate and trauma‑informed care in the best interests of our patients. The team conduct a variety of work including rapid and comprehensive mental health assessments and bespoke crisis interventions. Working in the Crisis Resolution Team will bring you variation every shift and provide regular opportunities for CPD and further career progression. Supervision and reflective practice are prioritised to ensure the wellbeing of staff is optimised. We promote flexible working to support the balance between work and home life.
This is a full‑time post, but we would be flexible to offering fewer hours for the right candidate. The shift pattern consists of days and waking nights over a 7‑day period including bank holidays, working three days a week. The team is based in Worcester but travel across the county may be required.
Main duties of the job
We are responsible for the gate‑keeping of the Trusts inpatient beds out of hours and conducting gate‑keeping assessments for patients referred for informal admissions by other Trusts. We are responsible for managing the designated place of safety within Worcestershire and your role would include the management of patients detained there, these can be demanding and challenging patients and you will be responsible for identifying risks and management plans to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
