Currently seeking a Senior Finance Officer to join our Finance Business Partnering team, providing essential financial support to the Council and senior management team within the Education and Schools service. Key Responsibilities: • Assist the Finance Manager in delivering high-quality, flexible, and professional finance support to service departments. • Support the business partnering team in revenue budget setting, monitoring, and year-end processes, including complex reconciliations and grant monitoring. • Provide expert technical advice to schools, budget holders, and officers to aid decision-making. • Ensure compliance with Internal Financing Reporting Standards and CIPFA’s Code of Practice for Local Government Accounting. • Proactively seek opportunities to enhance the financial support provided to the Council and schools. • Collaborate with internal departments and schools to resolve queries effectively.
