Person specification

Experience

Essential criteria

* Post qualification hospital experience
* Experience in supervision of staff
* Patient counselling
* Effective communication skills, verbal and written
* Proven organisational skills
* Competent in all areas of dispensing practice.

Desirable criteria

* Experience with the CMM (formerly JAC) pharmacy computer system
* Understanding of and participation in data collection for KPIs and audit
* Dispensing/supply of clinical trials

Skills & Abilities

Essential criteria

* Ability to organise own workload and that of others
* Computer literate for dispensing and stock keeping/issue purposes
* Ability to work under pressure and prioritise work
* Ability to identify and solve problems

Qualifications

Essential criteria

* BTEC / NVQ Level 3 Certified Pharmacy Technician registered with GPhC
* Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) Certificate.
* Experience as MMT in the NHS

Desirable criteria

* NVQ Practice and/or Educational Supervisor
