Demolition / Civils Manager – Scotland (Central Belt)

Overview
SEDR Recruitment is seeking an experienced Demolition/Civils Manager to lead multiple demolition, enabling works, and below-ground service removal projects across Scotland and the North of England. This senior role requires strong operational oversight, multi-site leadership, technical planning, and deep demolition/civils expertise.
With significant travel and responsibility for project delivery and workforce coordination, the successful applicant will be a highly capable leader familiar with fast-paced, safety-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage demolition and enabling works across multiple live sites
* Oversee building demolition, industrial strip-out, pipework removal, and underground service decommissioning
* Plan project sequencing, resources, and safe systems of work
* Prepare and review RAMS, permits, temporary works documentation, and compliance packs
* Manage supervisors, civils teams, subcontractors, and plant allocation
* Provide progress reporting, programme updates, and cost-management input
* Build and maintain relationships with clients, engineers, and local authorities
* Ensure works meet CCDO, BS 6187, HSG47/HSG150, and CDM requirements
* Support tendering, pre-construction reviews, and project handover

Required Qualifications & Experience
* CCDO Manager / Advanced CCDO (ideal)
* SMSTS essential
* Strong demolition and civils management background
* Experience running multi-site demolition programmes
* Excellent knowledge of HSE legislation, technical standards, and demolition guidance
* Confident managing teams, budgets, and client relationships
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively
