What is the role?
We're recruiting an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to join a landmark science and research development in Oxford, starting in October 2026. This is an opportunity to get involved early on a flagship project and help shape delivery from day one.
You will play a leading role delivering highly technical facilities within the science and research sector, overseeing the electrical package on site, driving programme, productivity, safety, and quality throughout the delivery phase.
What You'll Be Doing
* Lead and manage the on‑site electrical workforce, ensuring productivity targets are achieved
* Coordinate installation, commissioning, and close‑out of electrical systems
* Work closely with planners, engineers, and supervisors to drive programme and progress
* Maintain the highest standards of health, safety and quality throughout the project
* Ensure labour, materials and plant are effectively planned and available when required
* Support short‑term planning and sequencing of work packages
* Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure accountability for delivery
* Promote strong collaboration and communication across all trades on site
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience delivering electrical services on large‑scale, complex construction projects
* Strong leadership and workforce management skills with the ability to drive performance on site
* Excellent knowledge of LV/HV systems, containment, power distribution, lighting and building services installations
* Strong planning, coordination and communication abilities
* Good understanding of health & safety legislation, quality standards and construction processes
* HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent industry experience)
