We are looking for an experienced and driven Production Shift Manager to lead our Steelpark large operations team. Working on a double-day shift pattern, you will be responsible for motivating Team Leaders and their teams to deliver safe, efficient, and high-performing operations while meeting customer and business objectives. This is a key leadership role with direct impact on safety, quality, productivity, and profitability.

What you will do
* Plan, schedule, and coordinate all operational activities during your shift.
* Lead, coach, and mentor Team Leaders to develop capability and performance.
* Implement and maintain the Health & Safety management system, ensuring full compliance with all procedures and standards.
* Create and embed a strong safety culture where unsafe acts and conditions are proactively reported.
* Set and continuously raise standards of safety behaviour and operational discipline.
* Take charge during incidents, liaising with external parties and keeping stakeholders informed.
* Identify strengths and development needs of Team Leaders and shift teams in line with business needs.
* Ensure the operational plan is delivered effectively during each shift.
* Maintain clear communication and effective handovers between shifts.
* Assess risks, make sound decisions, and respond effectively to changing priorities.
* Act as cover for Manufacturing Managers during holiday periods.
* Champion Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality and statutory compliance at all times.
* Lead by example in all aspects of Health & Safety.
* Risk assess proposed changes and improvements before implementation.
* Ensure full compliance with Management of Change processes.
* Balance short-term operational issues with long-term improvement initiatives.
What you will need
* Proven experience managing and leading large teams in a manufacturing environment
* Strong understanding of Health & Safety, process safety, and incident investigation
* 5S and continuous improvement principles
* Product, process, and quality control standards
* Risk assessment and Management of Change processes
* Stratix systems knowledge
* Microsoft Office applications
* Annual planning processes
