Our client, a well-established primary school in Barnet, London, is currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a pupil with special educational needs.
In this full-time position, you will work closely with the class teacher and the SEN team to ensure the pupil receives the necessary support and guidance to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. You will assist in implementing individualised learning plans, adapting teaching materials, and providing personalised attention to help the pupil overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a primary school or SEN setting, along with a calm, patient, and empathetic approach. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will liaise with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a consistent and supportive learning environment for the pupil. A good understanding of safeguarding and health & safety protocols is also required.
