Job Description:
You could be in a full-time permanent position teaching GCSE & Functional Skills Maths in a further education college that offers ongoing training and development to help you progress in your career, including the opportunity to achieve a PGCE within your first two years.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional individual to join a well-established team to teach learners aged 16–19 who are passionate about the subject.
The role primarily involves teaching vocational learners aged 16-18, with a growing provision of part-time adult learners. You will play a key role in supporting vocational learners’ development and helping them progress to higher courses or employment.
You will join a team of skilled teachers who share best practices to engage and motivate resit learners.
Requirements include a degree in Maths or a related subject, experience teaching or tutoring Maths GCSE and/or Functional Skills, and the ability to engage 16-18-year-olds from various vocational disciplines. If you do not currently hold a Level 5 teaching qualification recognized by the FE sector, the college will fund and support you to obtain this over two years.
Salary and Benefits:
* Salary: £31,357 to £43,729 per annum
