Responsibilities
You will be working within our North East & Cumbria Construction Business where you will:
* Effectively manage the planning process with strong commercial awareness and strategic insight.
* Create pre construction and construction programmes that are auditable and based on verified outputs and sequences or supported by consultation with our supply chain.
* Regularly monitor programmes, keeping the project teams informed of progress.
* Advise the project teams on programme and logistical implications arising from design changes.
* Prepare comprehensive planning reports that outline key project milestones and programme dates.
* Produce site logistics plans that are easy to understand and reflect a rigorous planning approach.
* Identify and present alternative construction methods—incl. Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), innovative practices and value engineering opportunities—to the project team particularly at work winning stage.
* Develop clear planning commentaries that demonstrate a solid understanding of the project approach and execution strategy.
Ideal Candidate
* Asta Power Projects & P6 experience
* Significant experience in the main contracting market
As an experienced Planner, you will have a good understanding of construction techniques and a HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Construction Management or other equivalent related subject.
Experience in the main contracting market working on Healthcare, Education, Residential, Leisure, Defence and Commercial Projects between £5 and £50 million.
