Deputy Manager Overview We are excited to announce an exceptional opportunity for an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to join our team, a brand-new service set to open in June. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by helping to establish and lead a high-quality, person-centred care environment from the very beginning. As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the service, build a strong and dedicated team, and foster a culture of excellence and inclusivity. Salary: £35,000 – £39,000 per annum, plus a performance-based bonus Start Date: Ahead of the service opening in June (interviews are ongoing) Responsibilities As Deputy Manager, your key responsibilities will include: Assisting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operations of the service. Leading, mentoring, and developing staff to deliver exceptional standards of care. Supporting the recruitment, on-boarding, and training of new team members. Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safeguarding requirements. Contributing to care planning and embedding person-centred approaches across the service. Driving a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture. Taking full responsibility for the service in the absence of the Registered Manager. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should possess the following: Proven experience as a Deputy Manager, Team Leader, or 3rd in charge within a care setting. Experience in supporting or opening a new service (highly desirable). Strong leadership and organisational skills. A passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care. In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and best practice standards. The ability to motivate and inspire a team in a dynamic and evolving environment. Day-to-Day Your daily responsibilities will include: Collaborating with the Registered Manager to oversee all aspects of the service. Supervising and supporting staff to ensure the delivery of exceptional care. Monitoring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Addressing challenges proactively and implementing solutions to maintain operational excellence. Engaging with residents, families, and external stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and trust. Leading by example to foster a culture of respect, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
