This is a junior-level role in project delivery within the power sector. As Project Support, you’ll work closely with Project Managers and site teams to help with the smooth day-to-day running of projects. This role is hands-on and operational, offering great exposure to how projects are delivered safely, on time, and to high standards. No prior project management experience is required – just a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and good organisational skills.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to Project Managers
2. Assist with scheduling, paperwork, and organising site resources (e.g., equipment and subcontractors)
3. Help track and update basic project data, such as progress logs, timesheets, and delivery records
4. Support communication between onsite teams and the office, including chasing updates or confirming details
5. Learn and apply basic safety and compliance processes
6. Assist in preparing simple reports or documentation for the project teams
About You
Desirable Qualifications & Professional Membership(s):
* GCSEs or equivalent (including English and Maths)
* A willingness to work towards further training or qualifications
* A full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential)
* No formal project experience required
* Some experience in an office, admin, customer service, or site support environment is helpful
* Interest in utilities or engineering is a bonus
Skills & Personal Qualities:
* Professional, customer-focused with good verbal and numerical reasoning skills
* Ability to communicate effectively within Ipsum and with the Client Organisation
* Excellent time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
