Job Description:
Company:

This is a brand new role born out of business growth. This company is bringing 10+ assets into RTB stage, with construction across 2025/26 in the UK. Beyond this, they have over 1GW of pipeline projects in the UK and internationally.
The successful candidate will be the project managers & engineers’ eyes and ears onsite regarding all the quality, technical, and commissioning aspects of the construction across multiple sites simultaneously. They will be involved in technical follow-up of subcontractors, quality control, compliance, commissioning, testing, and inspecting. The role combines administrative, managerial, and technical (on-field) work.
Responsibilities:
* Construction supervision across Solar & BESS sites
* Resource Management, including material deliveries and equipment availability.
* Inspect completed work, identify defects, and ensure corrective actions are taken.
* Liaise with other (subcontractor, client, etc.) quality inspectors or engineers for compliance with project specifications.
* Monitor progress and scheduling, ensuring projects are delivered on time.
* Act as the primary (technical) point of contact on-site.
* Communicate site progress, issues, and changes to the project manager/engineering team.
* Ensure that all work complies with local building codes, regulations, and contractual obligations.
* Commissioning and testing of the solar farm and ensure handover to O&M.
Requirements:
* Degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, or civil) or proven experience.
* Certifications: health & safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, SMSTS) are highly valued.
* Strong understanding of solar PV and BESS and their grid integration.
* Proven track record in commissioning & managing energy projects, particularly solar PV and BESS.
* Site and contractor management, demonstrating ability to deliver projects on time, up to the desired level of quality, within budget.
* Experience working with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies (DNO’s, IDNO’s, etc.).
