Job Title: Multi-Skilled Operative - Social Housing Contract Location: Wigan, North West Travel Required Contract Type: Temporary - Permanent Hours: Full time About the Role We are seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Operative to work on our social housing maintenance contract. You will carry out a variety of responsive repairs, void property works, and planned maintenance tasks, ensuring properties are safe, well-maintained, and meet the needs of our residents. This is a customer-facing role, so we are looking for someone who is professional, reliable, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work. Key Responsibilities Undertake a range of repair and maintenance tasks across occupied and void properties. Deliver a variety of trade skills (e.g. joinery, plumbing, plastering, tiling, painting & decorating). Diagnose, problem-solve, and complete jobs on first visit wherever possible. Work safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations. Provide excellent customer service and respect residents' homes. Keep accurate records of work completed using company systems. About You The ideal candidate will be multi-skilled and adaptable, with experience working in a social housing or property maintenance environment. You will need to demonstrate: Proven experience in at least two core trades (e.g. joinery, plumbing, plastering, tiling, painting & decorating). Ability to carry out minor works in additional trades. NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent qualification in a core trade (desirable but not essential). Strong problem-solving and time management skills. Excellent communication and customer care skills.
