15th May, 2026 Senior Electrical Engineer - Cardiff Building Services Consultancy We are currently partnering with a growing Building Services consultancy seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join their Cardiff team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer looking to take on a key role within a collaborative design environment, delivering a broad range of commercial and complex building projects. The successful candidate will play an important role in leading electrical design projects, supporting junior engineers and working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and sustainable engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities Lead electrical design projects across a range of building sectors Produce detailed electrical designs, specifications, schematics and calculations Develop energy-efficient and low-carbon electrical solutions Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams and external stakeholders Support project delivery from concept through to completion Attend client and project meetings Review and check technical work produced by other engineers Mentor and support junior team members Assist in managing project programmes and technical delivery Ensure designs comply with current regulations and industry standards Requirements Previous experience within Building Services consultancy Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services systems Experience producing electrical designs for commercial building projects Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline preferred Working towards or already holding Chartered status advantageous Experience with industry software such as Amtech/Hevacomp, Dialux/Relux and CAD systems Strong communication and project coordination skills Ability to lead projects and manage multiple priorities What's on Offer Opportunity to work on technically challenging projects Collaborative and supportive working environment Genuine long-term progression opportunities Exposure to sustainability and low-carbon design initiatives Ongoing professional development and support toward Chartership For further information or a confidential discussion, please get in touch.
