About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Supervisor to join a major infrastructure project focused on the upgrade and reinforcement of critical power transmission lines between Inverness and Aberdeen. This is a key role within a high-profile civil engineering scheme that supports the UK’s transition to a low-carbon future by enabling more renewable energy to flow across the national grid.
As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily on-site operations, ensuring all works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate site activities, including subcontractors and direct labour
Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
Manage site logistics and day-to-day planning of works
Communicate effectively with site management, engineers, and supply chain partners
Maintain accurate site records and progress reports
Contribute to toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety briefings
Support the implementation of project programmes and deadlines
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience in a supervisory role within civil engineering or utility infrastructure projects
Background in power transmission, substations, or heavy civils is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of HSEQ best practices and relevant legislation
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project plans
SSSTS or SMSTS certification
Valid CSCS card
Full UK driving licence
