Gates & Barrier Engineer Job Description Reporting directly to Operations Director you will be a part of the Integrated Network System team for the whole of the Black Box Group This is a highly rewarding position, joining a strong and dedicated operations team providing high level of customer service to all clients. Turnstile Maintenance/Repairs Visiting various sites across Barrow in Furness and surrounding areas for installation, repair, and support Site attendance, fault finding, estimating repair requirement(s), fault diagnosis and repair calls. Undertake PPM, proactive and reactive works issued from helpdesk. Attention-to-detail ensuring work is completed carefully as per processes and regulations. Automatic Gate and Barrier must take responsibility for the overall quality of work delivered on-site. Support customer requests in a timely and professional manner. Carrying out admin responsibilities as per company policies, e.g. updating job sheets and reporting to office team Presenting the company in a professional manner at all times; on-site and on the roadAny other ad hoc duties requested via your manager. About you: Excellent organisational skills Confident positive telephone manner Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team Willingness to learn other disciplines we install (CCTV, IDS & Access Control) and help the team Friendly, flexible and adaptable as our industry, especially the service department, is very reactive. Work well under pressure Strong communication skills Ability to perform tasks using Microsoft word, excel, and outlook. Ability to communicate professionally with all departments throughout the company.
