Position: SEN Teacher (KS3 & KS4)

A welcoming alternative provision in Hull is seeking a SEN Teacher to join their supportive team from September 2025. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with students who have social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, as well as other learning challenges, helping them re-engage with learning and build brighter futures.
Your Role as an SEN Teacher:
* Deliver engaging, tailored lessons that meet the individual learning needs of students with SEMH and additional needs
* Differentiate planning and teaching approaches to ensure accessibility for all learners
* Build positive, trusting relationships to encourage confidence, independence, and resilience
* Work closely with support staff, the SENCo, and external professionals to implement personalised education plans
* Contribute to a nurturing, inclusive environment where students feel safe and valued
* Monitor and assess progress, adapting strategies to support ongoing development
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent) with experience in SEN, SEMH, or alternative provision settings
* A creative and flexible approach to teaching, with strong behaviour management skills
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong rapport with students
* A commitment to inclusive practice and helping young people overcome barriers to learning
* Teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with colleagues and support staff
