CMM Engineer (Metrologist)

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
Hours: 8am – 4:30pm Monday to Thursday & 8am – 2pm Friday
Location: Worcester
As the CMM Engineer/Metrologist you will be responsible for supporting the creation and updates of programs for coordinate measuring equipment using industry standard platforms. You will provide guidance and technical oversight for measuring system integration with effective data reporting tools deployment.
Qualifications
- CMM programming qualified with minimum 5 years of experience with PC-DIMS or other CMM programming platform
- Familiar with MCOSMOS
- Familiar with BLS Scan Software, trained to deploy Blue Light Scanner
- Recognised professional capable to run gauge R&R studies
Key Duties
- Subject matter expert for companies metrology processes
- Create and adjust programs to maximise production effectiveness
- Control and improve measuring equipment utilisation
- Actively takes part in continuous improvement projects
- Provide training to Coordinate Machine operatives
- To create and own SOP's, work instructions and visual aids
- Operate Computer System to input and retrieve data
- To support generation and use of data cards and data transfer templates
- Monitor the process and recognise any faults or defects with either the process or equipment and report to management
- Share knowledge and expertise including training others to improve company products and services
- Comply with and support the EHS policies, processes and programmes
- Support the Quality processes and programmes to drive the business performance
- Any other duties that may be reasonably required by the business
