Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety. Duties
* Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
* Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
* Assist in menu planning and development, offering creative input for new dishes
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
* Monitor ingredient stock levels and communicate needs for replenishment
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
* Oversee food portioning and presentation to meet quality standards
* Train junior kitchen staff and interns as required, fostering a positive team environment
Experience
* Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation within a professional kitchen setting
* Demonstrable culinary expertise with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
* Experience working in a restaurant or hospitality environment is highly desirable
* Familiarity with food safety standards, HACCP procedures, and hygiene practices
* Previous experience serving or interacting with customers is advantageous
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
