As our Energy & Sustainability Manager, you will take the lead in delivering our sustainability vision across The Celtic Collection and ICC Wales. You will oversee everything from energy and water management, carbon reduction and waste operations, through to environmental compliance, sustainable design, and the smooth running of our building management systems.
You will work closely with senior leaders, facilities teams and working groups across every property, ensuring that we are reducing our environmental impact, driving behavioural change, and meeting ambitious sustainability goals aligned with the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Responsibilities
* Lead our environmental strategy and create a clear roadmap toward the 2050 Net Zero target.
* Oversee energy procurement, utilities budgets, waste contracts and performance reporting across all properties.
* Manage carbon reduction initiatives, environmental audits, and ISO 14001 accreditation requirements.
* Drive engagement and training across all departments to foster a culture of sustainable practice.
* Monitor and optimise building management systems (BMS) and CHP generators.
* Maintain our Green Tourism accreditations and ensure full compliance with environmental legislation including SECR and ESOS.
* Design and report monthly performance data, identifying opportunities for improvements and innovation.
* Support sustainable design principles across all future development projects.
Qualifications
Essential:
* Degree-level qualification (or equivalent specialist knowledge) in a relevant discipline.
* Extensive experience leading sustainability, carbon management, or environmental programmes within a large organisation.
* Strong understanding of UK energy markets, tariffs, and carbon reduction methodologies.
* Experience delivering environmental or energy audits and working with Building Management Systems.
* Excellent communication skills and a proactive, self‑starting approach.
Desirable:
* ESOS Lead Assessor qualification.
* Experience in energy and waste management within a hotel or hospitality setting.
* Experience tendering for energy contracts.
