Business Development Manager - Tring, Hertfordshire An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join the team at Pendley Manor Hotel. Set within 35 acres of Hertfordshire countryside, Pendley Manor has recently completed a significant refurbishment of its bedrooms, leisure club, and spa facilities, and added a beautiful Rose Garden Grand Suite. As we continue to reposition and grow our market presence, we are looking for a commercially focused sales professional to drive new business and strengthen existing partnerships. The Role The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in raising the profile of the hotel, proactively developing the corporate and MICE segments, and maximising revenue opportunities across bedrooms, meetings and events, and weddings. Key Responsibilities Maintain and develop strong relationships with existing conference booking agencies, local corporates, SME agents, and TMCs Proactively grow corporate and MICE revenue through strategic business development activity Identify and secure new business opportunities within agreed target markets Manage national accounts, including participation in the RFP process Represent the hotel at key industry events, networking functions, exhibitions, wedding fayres, and association meetings Conduct professional and engaging site visits and client show-rounds Produce weekly and monthly sales activity and revenue reports Contribute to internal and external marketing initiatives and campaigns Support the preparation of the hotel’s annual budget, commercial plan, and sales & marketing strategy About You Requirement of 2 years previous hotel sales experience is essential Previous experience in a Sales Manager or Business Development role within hospitality is essential Proven track record of driving corporate/MICE revenue growth Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills Highly organised, self-motivated, and results-driven Ability to manage your own diary and work independently Willingness to travel nationwide as required This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious sales professional looking to take the next step in their career within a prestigious and evolving hotel environment.
